  • ABA is considered a medical necessary treatment for people with Autism. Here at Therapy on a Hill (TOAH) we embrace various evidenced based approaches such as Discrete trial teaching (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), Functional Communication Training (FCT), Video Modeling (VM), among many more to teach skill acquisition skills to your child. Just as every child on the spectrum is unique, each one-to-one program is also unique and tailored to the needs of you and your loved one.

  • Your role in therapy is ESSENTIAL for your child’s progress. TOAH knows that YOU are the expert on your child, and we will collaboratively work together to overcome obstacles that interfere with learning. Our goal is to empower you and give you the tools needed to navigate things that may arise as you continue your journey with your child.

  • Our goal is to decrease barriers that impede transitions to least restrictive environments and increase the skills required to successfully participate in those settings. Our highly skilled team will ensure that prior to your child ever transitioning out of services we have a plan in place, and if needed provide a shadow for that exciting step in your family’s journey. We work within multiple settings such as: daycares, pre-school, private school, Mother’s Day out etc.

  • We pride ourselves in fostering an atmosphere that focuses on increasing social skills that can help guide your child as he/she interacts with others and the world around them. Social skill camps are offered at our facility for individuals that meet the pre-requisite skills, however social skill goals are targeted daily in your child’s individualized plan. From responding to your name, to learning how to approach and engage with others we meet your child where they are at and build upon that.

  • A home-based approach can help generalize skills learned in clinic and can focus on self-help and adaptive living skills. At TOAH we see in-home as an opportunity to teach your child within real-life scenarios and provide more frequent family guidance.
