My journey in ABA began in 2008 working as a therapist. I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with what I was doing; Seeing transformations in the families I was serving filled my heart and soul with joy and I KNEW this is what I was called to do in life. I graduated in 2019 with my master’s in special education from Sam Houston State University and became a BCBA shortly after graduating. Having this center has always been a dream of mine, but I was terrified of not being enough or knowing enough. One Sunday while sitting in service my pastor spoke about your “God calling” and I knew that it was serving the kids and families I come accross.
After that Sunday service, I began taking steps to owning my own clinic and established Therapy on a Hill in 2022. I know a lot of things, but I want to be 100% transparent I DO NOT KNOW IT ALL and that’s OK, because I am the type of person that if I don’t know it, I will try to find solutions.
I am humbled everyday by the kids I serve and everyday I consider myself blessed to be in their presence. One of my mentors who had her own clinic told me once: “I wanted to create a place that I would send my child to”. Those words sat in my heart and after having kids of my own, are now how I perceive everything I do and speak.
The standards that I have for this center are rooted on how I would want my own children treated and cared for and I can assure you that when your child in is my care, they are loved and cared for as if they are my own. It takes a village to raise children and we are honored to potentially be a part of yours.
